Andrea Sartori
Phonosutura EP

Making music is like dressing a woman, listen to music it's like undressing her.. This is the the typical sentence Andrea would use to hit on girls at the bar, nonetheless he believes that for real!
After the critically acclaimed album Il Tagliacode, saluted as one of the most original electronica albums of 2007, Andrea presents his debut on 12” format, including one track from tha album and two smashing originals.
Knowing deeply the mechanisms behind the making of electronic music, it's possible to add value to a groove “dressing” it with elegant piano riffs, showing golden saxophone notes on a pale decollete'.. This is the style of Phonosutura, a dancefloor suit to get noticed into the club, but confortable enough to skew away with a silent irony, running with an acid synth line that works like super high tech sport shoes.
a1-Phonosutura. A nasty sax, obsessive piano, fake strings and a quick handed drum: the elements fuse themselves together without tearing the tissue. A resistent but elegant suit, sewed with precise sewing points. A fusion between techno, disco, electro, Phonosutura has a substained groove scratching the ears without provoking any bleeding.
b1- Horror Vacui: 8 minutes of progression, starting from acoustic broken beats and arriving to a synthetic and dry techno, this track tells of the epic clash between maximal and minimal music, working as an interesting dancefloor tool to change with elegance the dress of a dj set.
b2- Pendant: Starting with a funky guitar and a deep bass, those elements let soon space to the protagonism of a synth inspired to the greatest tunes of Herbie Hancock. A winning downtempo dressed up with synthetic rythms and analogue melodic lines, creating a fat mix, at moments slightly losing his shape but balanced from elegant fonocromatic pairings.
